Fx Therapies is built on the belief that every child deserves FUNCTIONAL breathing, eating, and communication skills.
We specialize in pediatric oral motor dysfunction (speech, feeding/swallowing and breathing). These skills do not come naturally for some children and THAT’S WHERE WE COME IN TO PLAY. We use a play-based treatment approach to help our clients become functional breathers, eaters, and communicators..

We currently serve our clients IN PERSON (in their homes or at their schools) or via TELE-THERAPY.
Myofunctional Therapy
Myofunctional therapy treats the UNDERLYING orofacial myofunctional disorders of chewing, breathing and swallowing. Myofunctional therapy focuses on using exercises/tools to 1)Promote nasal breathing for optimal 2) Prevent tongue thrust 3) Promote lip seal 4) identify and address restricted tongue, lip, cheek ties to prevent breathing, swallowing and speech difficulties and 5) Improve sleep quality and overall quality of life.
Feeding/Swallowing Therapy
For children, feeding therapy focuses on helping a child learn how to eat and/or expand the variety of developmentally appropriate foods in their repertoire. We work with children to provide them with the skills (sensory and motor) they need to make meal time more enjoyable and nutritious.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy focuses on remediation of sound errors and increases functional communication skills to allow our clients to be understood and to be able to connect with others around them. We at Fx Therapies, use a oral motor based approach to treating speech sound disorders.
